How to make a baby shower seating chart
- Set up the room. Start from the example (a seat for the parents-to-be, four round tables, gifts, desserts and games) or blank.
- Add the guests. Paste the guest list with each guest’s circle: family, work, college friends, neighbours.
- Seat the guests of honour. Put the parents-to-be where everyone can see the gifts being opened.
- Seat everyone else. Press Smart arrange: each circle sits together. Move a few connectors so every table has someone who knows the others.
- Print it. Download the PDF, and print place cards or a small sign for the door.
The chart above is a baby shower for 30: the parents-to-be at a small table facing the room, four round tables by circle of friends, and the gift table, dessert table and games corner. Press Use this layout to keep the room and clear the example names.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need a seating chart for a baby shower?
For a seated lunch or more than about 25 guests, a simple chart helps people who don’t know each other. For a drop-in shower, reserve a seat for the parents-to-be and let guests choose.
Where should the parents-to-be sit?
Where everyone can see them open gifts: a small table or a comfortable chair facing the room, with the gift table beside them.
How should I arrange the tables at a baby shower?
Round tables of 6 to 8 keep conversation going; a long table suits a small shower at home. Leave space in front of the parents-to-be for gifts and games.
Should I mix the guests?
Seat each circle of friends together, then put one connector at every table, someone who knows people across circles, so no table is quiet.
Can I name the tables for a theme?
Yes. Click a table and type a name; the names print on the plan and on the cards from the seating card maker.
Is there a baby shower seating chart template?
Yes. Download the PDFs below, with names or blank, or press Use this layout above to keep the room and add your guests.
